Horlicks: Carlton Bricker reads a letter to sing the praises of how Horlicks helped a man get a better night’s sleep.

Let’s get ready to see what’s happening down in Pine Ridge. Abner’s crazy swap idea has led to drawing Lum into partnership with him, and even in having a full circus.

Since Squire has been put in charge of the side shows, we find Lum preparing for his trapeze act. Is Lum afraid? Of course not, he says. He’s just afraid that his amazing feats might be too much for the faint of heart in the audience.

He and Squire talk about another circus acts that Lum might try instead. Abner shows up to compare notes with Lum on the different circus acts. There seems to be drawbacks with all the glory in the circus.

Horlick drama: Two women talk about what to have at their party. Hmm… what would be the ideal drink to serve? It has to be quick, easy, and tasty. What could it be? Hey, how about Horlicks malted milk drink!
