A young family visits grandparents just outside of Salt Flats. They arrive only to discover the scene of a grisly murder. Jase tries to get any information he can from the son, Mr Ross. Clues send the lawmen out om horseback.
A neighbor, Chuck Whittaker, can be placed on the scene but does that mean he did it? Questionng other ranchers doesn’t turn up anything else. What about the autopsy report? It would take a hard hitting, big mam to inflict the damage done to the Ross family.
New evidence comes in that could change the entire direction of the investigation. A man named Walsh is someone who has been taking advantage of the loss of a daughter who was killed in the war. Walsh told the Rosses that he was a service buddy, and when Mr Ross began to suspect a con, he and his wife were murdered. Now the chase is on to loacate Walsh, and put him behind bars.
