Jack Benny – From Mitchell Field. 450128

Jack Benny and Mary Livingstone on the set of their radio show in 1942.

In front of a military audience, Don teases Jack about his leadership ability, and a matter of slang. The jokes continue to reflect the culture of the Air Force training base. Mary sets Jack straight on military slang, and comments about soldiers chasing girls in the snowy weather. She gets surprised to lern that Larry Stevens has been double dating with Jack. Larry sings, Evalina.

Jack is suddenly worried over his draft board, and fitness for duty. Phil arives to brag about his prowess with the wACS. Rochester phones in from the hotel room about a reporter from Look Magazine. Jack is teased about his age, stinginess, and writers. Phil plays, Good Grief.

Phil claims he has to leave to go out with his wife Alice, and ann Sheridan, which makes Jack change his plans for nightlife on the base. He also gets teased about his fictional girlfriend, Gladys Zabisco. Ann shows up, and Jack is upstaged when Ann and Mary gossip about style and fashions. when Phil gets a showstopping kiss, Jack tries the same tactic, but it doesn’t work so well. He ends up with Mrs Noosebaum. Can Jack bail out, and go out with Mary instead? I think his bridges have been burned.
