The stage coach trail is wild and uncivilized in the areas around the town of Flat Rock. Just when the stage is being ambushed, the bandits are interrupted by Wild Bill and Jingles. Though the outlaws get away, the driver and passengers are safe. All they know for sure is that it’s the Shadow Hill gang.
In town, Bill finds the girlfriend of one of the outlaws, and she is helpful with details that ought to help with stopping the gang.
After a sponsor break, it’s several hours later in the schoolhouse. A package is dropped off in the schoolhouse mailbox. Jingles jumps the gun and shows his hand. Sure enough, the rider gets away, but it’s the expected money that the girlfriend thought may be showing up from her outlaw boyfriend. Another clue sends Bill and Jingles on the track of catching the bad guys.
Elsewhere, the gang members talk about their next job. A suspicious character in town have them a little worried, but should they be? It turns out that Bill’s clue leads him to their man, but he’s shot down before anything new can be learned. Still, it’s enough to confirm to Bill and Jingles they need to head out for the outlaw hide out. If they can find it.
While they’re looking, the bandits are on the move to get to the school teacher, and the girlfriend of their former leader. It looks like Bill has a damsel in distress to rescue. He takes an indirect route though, and rides back to Abilene to talk with the outlaw leader in jail. Will the outlaw talk to save his girlfriend? Instead, Reed Bradshaw’s outlaw brother gets there first. It’s still just the chance that Bill needs.
Jingles and Bill manage to follow the bad guys back to their secret lair. Do the outlaws know they are being followed? Will the bad guys win, and get all the loot, the girl, and the chance to do away with Wild Bill? It looks like all the answers will be forthcoming after the next commercial break, and the conclusion of this exciting adventure.
The outlaws have the upper hand as Bill has walked into their trap. But who has trapped who? Bill and Jingles have a few tricks of their own up their sleeves. How can they hope to get out of this mess? Find out for yourself as you listen to the exciting story.
