The Adventures of Philip Marlowe – The Hiding Place. ep83, 500509

Gerald Mohr in 1951. A black and white photograph of Gerald Mohr, a man in a suit and tie, posing in front of a microphone with headphones on. He is holding a script in one hand and appears to be in the midst of speaking or recording. The background is dark and nondescript, with no discernible details.

The opening scene brings bad news for Martha Bryant. Philip goes into flashback mode to tell how the sweet, gray-haired lady came to ask his help with her son. Chip fell for a dame, but is it the platinum blonde who drove the wedge between the 22-year-old son and his mom? In San Obispo, Marlowe gets nothing but dead ends, until an oily character with a gun delivers a thump on the head to Marloe

Finding himself a half step behind the dame, Marlowe learns that Toby has left town. Or has she? Hot on the trail, Marlowe gathers more clues. There’s also the matter of an unsolved jewel robbery to tie in to the matter.

Racing back to a country cottage, Philp continues his search at the run-down Escobar estate. Are there hidden jewels somewhere on his land? Will Chip show up somewhere else? Confrontations with thugs, more thumps on the head, and da knife is in store for our hard-boiled hero.
Don’t miss the fast paced and deadly action as Philip delivers justice to the bad guys, and tells the fate of his client’s son.
