Now, let’s see what’s happening in Pine Ridge. Dick, Squire, and Abner are in a circus wagon that serves as an office. Dick and Abner talk about Lum’s love interest in Pine Ridge, Evalina. They are to have a meeting to discuss the circus, and who should run it. Squire seems to have done a bang-up job, but Lum and Abner would like more control, and have concerns about some of the expenses.
The real problem at hand is that Lum has been out watching the circus, and seems to have been smitten by one of the bare back horse riders named Zenora. Surely, he’ll decide to remain in Pine Ridge, and turn the circus over to Squire. It’s the smart thing to do. But then, Lum does seem awfully distracted by Zenora.
Should Lum and Abner travel with the circus or not?
Horlicks: It’s great for the aged, and the convalescent. It helps a body to grow stronger, and regain health.
