Philip Marlowe – The Anniversary Gift. ep79, 500411

Gerald Mohr in 1951. A black and white photograph of Gerald Mohr, a man in a suit and tie, posing in front of a microphone with headphones on. He is holding a script in one hand and appears to be in the midst of speaking or recording. The background is dark and nondescript, with no discernible details.

Get this and get it straight! It’s time for another episode with Gerald Moore, as Philip Marlowe.

A long-distance phone from a recently released convict has Philip rushing to help him out of a jam. Bay City is a corrupt town, and not only does it not look good for the former prisoner, but Philip will have plenty of legal prejudice against him as well.

When the law in town is as corrupt the outlaws, Marlowe has to learn the crooked game, and learn it fast. Why is his friend being set up? Can Philip keep a murder from going down? It’s sure to be rough going, but I’ll bet he unravels the mystery to see real justice is done.
