The women of town have responded to the men and their protective association by forming one of their own. Today Lum enters the Jot ‘Em Down store to find Abner having a breakfast of canned sardines and crackers. The women have locked the men out, and have refused to cook, clean, or do any other chores for the men. Even Luke Spears restaurant is shut down since it is his wife who did the cooking.
Squire enters with grandpap, both hungry, and talking about the depth and severity of the women going on strike. Can the men strike back? Can they out wait this siege? How much worse can this little battle of the sexes get? Grandpap is about to find out.
