A couple of hardcases ride the trail in search of a partner of theirs who grabbed their stolen goods and ran off. Meanwhile, Cisco and Pancho ride into an ambush the lone outlaw set to protect himself from his partners in crime, but when Cisco is recognized, the lone outlaw accepts them in, and offers a bogus story of how he came to be there.

The bandit is wounded, and Cisco takes care of him despite the fact that becomes clear that he is a hunted man and an outlaw. With food offered, and the medical attention taken care of as well as Cisco can do on the trail, will the man agree to go to town to see a doctor?

The other outlaws ride closer, and the injured man gets frantic. Does Cisco know who their man is? He claims he won’t take sides in the outlaw’s dispute. Cisco claims that his only concern is the lone bandit’s health. Wishful thinking Cisco.

A fight breaks out that draws Cisco into it. The fight is enough to chase off the killers, and the grateful bandit agrees to go with Cisco to a doctor. The outlaws aren’t finished yet, but our scene changes to town, and the sheriff talking about bringing in the outlaw gang. The news comes out that Cisco is riding with the gang, and it’s just the set up needed to get him in trouble with the law by association. Not to mention a trap for the gang to wait for the sheriff and posse to do their work in rounding up their errant gang member. Cisco certainly has a simplified outlook on things. He maintains his one-track mission of taking his charge to the doctor. I don’t think the sheriff believes him though.

The lone bandit, Cisco, and Pancho all escape from the sheriff in their diligent pursuit of a doctor. The outlaws are equally single minded in getting their man, even if he is killed, and takes the secret of his hiding place of the gold with him. The gang members are so mad now, that they’ll be satisfied with getting revenge. As the outlaws set up their ambush, Cisco spots them, as well as the posse riding into their trap. Cisco blows their cover, and the posse captures the thieves.

With all the outlaws handily turned over, Pancho and Cisco ride away, and talk about enjoying a good clean life.
