As Vic complains in his goofy way, to Sade about his lack of lunch, Rush enters. Vic keeps laying on the guilt trip, but neighborhood gossip takes over. Rush tells about the Brick Mush man getting his head caught in a revolving door. It’s apparently a topic much joked about by Rush, but nobody ever thought it could actually happen.
Taking center stage in the gossip, Rush dishes out all the gory details of the incident. Vic is more interested in lunch, but gladly welcomes the distraction of having Sade read a postcard from aunt Bess. Sade isn’t impressed with the thin veneer of interest from either Vic or rush over reading the news from Bess.
Rush becomes more elaborate with his description, and even does his impression of getting his head stuck in a door, and in his motives for visiting the Brick Mush man in the hospital. The only thing to stop the juvenile fun, and Sade’s embarrassment is for lunch to be finished cooking.
