Hey, I think this show was the one that was podcasted last week, and the show last week should really be titled as this one. Sorry for not catching the mistake sooner. I post them as I Listen to them, and I didn’t have any prior show notes on these.

With the upcoming presidential election, talk in the Riley household turns to politics. Junior listens to his dad bragging about the glorious political career that he gave up. Later, he gets the true career reality from mom.

Flashback time. It involves a lost job as a gorilla keeper in the zoo. Hey, Riley’s mom is played by the voice of Mrs. O’Riley from the My Friend Irma show. Chester Riley’s mom pulls some strings and gets him a job in politics.

Meanwhile, Peg’s dad runs for Alderman against the man who Riley is to work for. In doing some campaigning, and trying to dig up voters, Riley runs into Digger O’Dell. Stand by for graveyard puns.

With new inspiration, and with a drunken Alderman on his hands, Riley delivers the speech. Thanks to his rousing speech, he may have lost the election, gotten beat up, and put in the hospital, but the ending isn’t all bad.
