When last we saw Superman, he was clearing a path for the ice bound ship to sail through. With the Arctic night fallen, our travellers face a choice of pushing through, or pulling back to a safer base. Even the dogs in the sled team are fearful. Details about the curious returned ring are reviewed, as is the legend of the king who doesn’t die.
Seeing a chance of danger, Clark switches to Superman to examine supernatural images in the clouds. Back with his guide, Clark spots strange lights in the distance. Clark and his guide push closer to the light. What is it? They find themselves in an empty shelter, empty of people at least.
Suddenly, our heros are surrounded by indians. Is this a trap? Can Superman fight his way clear? After the fight, Clark finds an important clue in the igloo that may help them find the missing adventurers they have come to find.
