A story of a past present, that had no future.

A young lawyer has just got word of a big time client, and shares the news with his skeptical girlfriend. When Pete takes his gal out to celebrate, he is the target of mistaken identity. Pete is thought to be a thug who was put in prison as part of a bank robbing gang. In fact, he is aledged to be the only gang member who knows the location of the loot from the last heist.

Word on the street spreads fast, and the rest of the gang become nervous to think that Duke was released early for good behavior, and may be out to grab the loot and leave the rest high and dry. Duke’s gangster girlfriend tries to sweet talk him to get to the loot, or at least understand the aledged double cross. Trixie claims to have been faithful, and there’s nothing between her and Trip, the gang leader.

The gang refuses to believe that Pete isn’t their man, but how can he convince the thugs who he really is? The more Pete resists, and the more the gang puts on pressure, the tale gets more twisted and intricate. Things come to a boil when the dead bodies pile up, and the real Duke arrives on the scene. There are still twists to unravel. Who knows where the money really is? Who is behind the body count as the gang members start dropping. Will Pete survive his adventure, or ever return to a normal life?
