Barry Craig – Dead on Arrival. 511114

A security guard dressed in a dark uniform is reaching for his sidearm, which is holstered on his right hip. He stands in front of a brick wall, with his left hand resting on his belt. His facial expression suggests a state of high alertness and readiness to act in case of any threat or danger.

In need of a haircut, Barry Craig is pulled out of the barbershop to tend to a dame who has materialized in his car. Gunshots mean he has to take his meeting to the privacy of his office. A diary, alleged to be that of George Washington has fallen into the hands of her brother, and an extortion price tag of over $100k is demanded.

It’s up to Barry to negotiate a deal, but while he has the brother on the phone line, he’s gunned down. Held at gunpoint, Barry calls a bluff to turn the tables and learn more dirt on the diary, and the scandal it may contain.

Time to get the cops involved to iron out details, and turn over a corpse and a lunatic. But there’s still more to do in tracking down who else wants that diary. Thugs, and danger awaits, not to mention thumps on the head. Twists and turn arounds abound as Barry gets to the bottom of the case.
