Buster Brown Gang – A Plane Called Yankee Doodle. 471213

Smiling Ed opens with a song, Hey and Hi and Ho Ho Ho. He reminds the kiddies to pick up their Buster Brown comics when they shop for shoes, and while supplies last.

Without sparing any time, Ed introduces the ongoing story of an adventure pilot. Kat and Ted are the two young adventurers who learn how bomber pilots were trained in the last war. As they take flight in their craft, the Yankee Doodle, they face the danger of being shot down. What’s this all about? Fly along with our heros as they are captured. Who is their enemy, and why is he after them? Get ready for aerial battles complete with blasting machine guns.

Shifting gears, and getting ready for the holiday spirit, Smiling Ed sings a song about Santa Claus. Froggie the gremlin thumps his magic twanger to become visible, and sing his own silly song after a few moments of talking about football with Jim Nasiuim.

PS: Holy cow! A story about kids gunning down pilots out of the sky? What kind of story is that? And just in time for another flying character to take to the skies to reward the good boys and girls, Santa Claus? I hope Kat and
Ted are out of bullets, or they might have a run in with the jolly old elf.
