There has always been a lot of rivalry in Wistful Vista to have prize winning Christmas decorations. Fibber has never won it, but this year, he’s determined to put up the prettiest decorations in town. In the hardware store, Fibber and Molly run into Ole the janitor who tells about his inlaws, and some pranks that were pulled. They also encounter a clerk who has an interesting way of running words together.
Back home, Fibber shows off his prowess at electrical wiring, and the technology behind it. Mayor LaTrivia pops in to tell about a speech he is to make. Billy Mills plays a medley of Christmas and Wintery tunes.
Fibber is busily hanging up Christmas lights, but he pauses long enough to tell Molly about his progress. Old Timer stops in with his gal, Bessie. They talk about her siblings, and radio quiz shows. Darkness is falling, and just in time for Fibber to test out his hard work. Teeny pops in to comment on the results, and joined by carolers she sings their traditional Christmas arrangement based on the Night Before Christmas.
