Lum and Abner – Ben Ruins Abner’s Chance to Trade. 480805

Two men dressed in traditional Hawaiian attire, Lum and Abner, are seen mid-dance in the center of a small store. Lum, on the left, is playing a ukulele while Abner on the right is swaying his hips and waving his arms. A small crowd is gathered around them, some clapping and others smiling. The store itself is cluttered with various items, including shelves of canned goods and hanging clothes, giving it a cozy and lived-in feel.

After all the swapping, and losses, Lizabeth is having trouble understanding what has gotten into Abner. Her blow up the night before has him swapping to get some of his stuff back. Lum thinks he oughtta be bored for the simples, but it’s worth if for now to maintain the happy home.

Cedric enters, but can’t remember what his mom sent him over to get from the store. He can’t quite remember, but he tells Lum about Gypsies who are camped outside of town. Will this be their big chance to lose big on swapping with them?

Ben enters in his position as constable to tell about a crime wave sweeping town.
He has already deputized grandppap to go and run them out of Pine Ridge.
