Actually it might be titled a Russian Opera rather than Hungarian. This is part 3 of a live stage show done sometime during Richard Nixon’s presidency. Victor tells about his tourist trip to Washington DC, and mentions that Spiro Agnew is vice president. He also talks about former president Johnson.
Victor is Accompanied by opera soprano, Marilyn Mulvey. He seems to give her a hard time about her choice of song. Finally after clowning around with a couple false starts, Victor gives a build up for the Russian opera piece he performs with Marilyn. Though he puts his own comic spin on operetic performances, Marilyn does an excellent job playing Victor’s straight-person.
The show ends with a few parting words with Victor playing a soft piano accompaniment.
