A security guard dressed in a dark uniform is reaching for his sidearm, which is holstered on his right hip. He stands in front of a brick wall, with his left hand resting on his belt. His facial expression suggests a state of high alertness and readiness to act in case of any threat or danger.

At the Blue Note, Casey and Ann talk with Ethylbert and get the news about the wierd case of a man who seemingly shot himself just before his insurance policy ran out. The cops are calling it a simple case of suicide, but what self respecting radio detective would buy off on that? It makes for only a five minute show.

Despite the overwhelming evidence, Casey points out a flaw that indicates it could be murder.

Casey interviews Mrs Prescot, the new widow. She doesn’t seem surprised over the suicide of her scoundrel of a husband, claiming that he had affairs all the time.

Time becomes a key factor as Casey and Ann piece together the clues in this puzzle. Join the fun in learning about all the players, and which person was where. Who had the motive? Can Casey convince the stubborn cops that it’s more than a simple suicide? Was it the jaded wife, the weeping secretary, the insurance agent? They all have solid alibis to back up their stories.

Whew, with such a difficult case as this Casey needs another trip to talk with Ethylbert at the Blue Note tavern to clear his mind. In a rush, Casey figures out the technology that allowed the killer to pull off this near perfect crime.
