Phil Harris – Red Paint On The Poodle. ep126, 500108

American actress and singer Alice Faye. She is seated in a chair, wearing a white blouse and dark skirt, and is looking off to the side with a slight smile on her face. The background is dark and there is a decorative pattern visible on the wall behind her. Shepherd Conservation Society.

Before the show, Phil and Alice welcome a new station to the network, located in Hawaii. Mr Scot and his wife are going on a trip, and he wants Phil to take care of his poodle for a few days. With the dog, Madam Beauvary coming over, Phil puts aside his chore of painting a chair and checks on Remley. He’s in the other room teaching the girls a new game, gambling at billiards. A dog whistle is dropped off, and explained that it’s supersonic wistle can only be heard by dogs. Alice sings, Bye Bye Baby.

Phil finds the whistle, and demonstrates that only dogs… and Remley can hear it. At first Phil thinks he’s going deaf, but truths slowly begin to sink in. Phil soothes Frankies nerves by singing something appropriate, Let the Incidental Goe By.

Julius arrives to tease Frankie, and after a mishap, the poodle has red paint spilled on her. To make matters worse, Mr Scot comes back early to find that Remley shaved the poodle to get the paint off. Maybe the guys can cover up their mess by gluing Alice’s fur muff on the poodle instead? Let’s just say that dog grooming isn’t a good career move for Phil and Frankie. What will Mr Scot have to say about his pet? Stand by for slow burns, and classic over reactions.
