Lum and Abner – Squire Wants Lum to Be a Trapeze Artist. 480603

Two men dressed in traditional Hawaiian attire, Lum and Abner, are seen mid-dance in the center of a small store. Lum, on the left, is playing a ukulele while Abner on the right is swaying his hips and waving his arms. A small crowd is gathered around them, some clapping and others smiling. The store itself is cluttered with various items, including shelves of canned goods and hanging clothes, giving it a cozy and lived-in feel.

Ben Withers talks with Lum and Abner to hear about their encounter with the wild man from Borneo. Caleb Wehandt isn’t taking Cedric’s new job very well. Should they lock Squire in jail to protect him from Cedric’s irate dad?

The discussion of carnivals inspires Ben to rant on carnivals past, and an incident on a Ferris Wheel, and marriage proposals. Squire enters, and already has a solution to the irate Caleb. He hired him for a circus side show act.

What next? Squire still needs a trapeze act. Will he be able to convince Lum to be so high in the air? Will he be able to convince Lum to even wear the vcostume? Maybe Abner will get roped into being the circus lion tamer.
