The oblivious Ben can’t leave his duties at the jail, but begins a littany of friends for Lum to call on for him
Lum tries to tell about his newest love interest, Zenora the Egyptian bareback horseback rider. Ben gets a little confused though over where exactly she’s from, and what her last name might be.
The description of Ben Wither’s quirky friends continues as Abner enters. Will he be able to derail the list of people? His new hair cut, and news of how heart broke Lizabeth seems to do the trick… at least for a little while. What about the news that Squire has about a flood of new bills related to the circus, money that Lum spent on Zenora.
