Lum and Abner – Switching PersonAlities. 470528

Lum and Abner in a Publicity Photo. 5x6. In this black and white publicity photo, two men, Lum and Abner, are posing together in a studio. They are dressed in suits and ties, with Abner on the left wearing a hat and holding a cane, while Lum on the right has his hands in his pockets. They are smiling at the camera with a friendly and approachable demeanor, creating a sense of warmth and familiarity. The photo has a vintage feel, reflecting the era in which they were popular radio personalities.

A chapter closes, and the end of a brief era arrives when the Meadowlark Restaurant closes it’s doors. The equipment has all been sold to Ben Withers to use in the jail. After being used to do weeks worth of chores in the store, Abner has wised up to Lum’s hypnotism techniques, but Mose Moots thinks it ought to be a good idea for a radio format.

Squire Skimp pops in to learn about the new hypnotic shows. Will he volunteer to be a subject on a show? He may have an ulterior motive.

Cedric enters for a practice hypnotic session, and Squire gets hypnotized as well. What if Lum had them switch personalities? What if they liked it, and didn’t want to switch their personalities back?

Note: Speaking of closing an era, no more Lum and Abner for a while. That’s all the shows I have, and for now, we may ne ver know what becomes of Squire and Cedric. I’m sure there’s plenty of crazy happenings before it is all set straight.

If all goes well, Maybe in July I can bring the show back. For now, you can get that daily visit to Pine Ridge by checking out Banjovy | Old Time Radio
