Fibber McGee and Molly – The Umbrella Stand. ep593, 491004

A black and white photograph of Fibber McGee and Molly, a couple from a popular radio show of the same name. They are standing in front of a closet that has been opened, with clothes and other items spilling out onto the floor. Fibber is holding a mop and wearing an apron, while Molly looks on with a smile on her face. The overall effect is one of humor and domesticity, with the couple's playful antics and cluttered living space providing a snapshot of life in mid-century America in 1948.

The McGees recieve a package from the Bon Ton Department store. It’s an umbrella stand. The Old Timer arrives to interupt Fibbers rant over the stand, and his desire to take it back. The old gent tells about the event that changed his life, and share some poetry. Billy Mills plays, Toot Toot Tootsi Goodbye.

Before heading out the door, Mayor Latrivia stops in and gets flusterd over a confusing statement by Fibbers. The McGees are trying to take back their stand. Kingsmen sing, Never Have the Time.

Doc Gamble is out shopping, but pauses long enough to swap insults, until he is paged. Fibber gets fed up with the store management, but will he get his umbrella stand exchanged?
