Eddie Burke was given a bogus story that a dame left a package for safekeeping, and now Richard is having trouble convincing Eddie that he knows nothing about it. All it costs him is a thump on the head.
It’s time to compare notes with his policeman friend, Walt, and Richard learns that it involves a counterfeiting ring. Why did the dame point the finger at Richard? He hits the street to learn the answer to that question. The sultry dame makes an appearance, but so does a body. Who killed Eddie Burke?
Walt warns Richard that he’s going to have to act fast on an uphill battle to learn how his own gun became the murder weapon.
Before you know it, Richard finds himself in a nest of gangsters. How is he going to get out of this one? It takes a little charm, but he survives for another evening of music and romance with Hellen.
