Telegrams from swanky places across the country continue to come in, and Lum shares a few as they ask for his Lumburger recipe. Squire enters to demand the pearl, but the heated words fly when grandpap bursts into the room to demand it as well.
Doc Withers offers himself as a neutral party to act as mediator in the matter. Doc tries to gather the facts in a cool headed manner. He’s calm enough and manages to settle the storm, but is his fact finding mission actually helping? In the vain of Fibber and Molly working a slow burn out of Mayor Latrivia, Doc manages to get under Squire’s skin.
