Doc shares about a lost love of his own, but has he finally been distracrted from wanting to accompany Lum everywhere? Will doc persuade Lum to take him to Luke Spear’s lunchroom again for lunch?

If he can’t get Lum to accompany him out to lunch, will the doc shoe horn his way into Lum’s house for a meal of pancakes? Fast forward to just after the noon hour, and Abner talks with grandpap about Lum. He’s late in getting back to the store. What’s the hold up? Grandpap tries to guess the kinds of stomach ailiments that Lum’s pancakes might have given the doc. Once Lum enters, he has a new development, and an attachment that doc has on him.
