First show: 07-03-1929. Andy Reads ALaw Book To Help Amos. The first known show with theme music. Amos and Andy read a law book to try to help build the defense for Amos. Neither can make much sense of the words. Andy tries a bit of role playing, acting as a prosecuting lawyer to see how Amos will hold up under pressure. They even try using visual aids to help with the environment. Amos lawyer stops in to show that Andy’s law book is no good after all. Hmm… I wonder why?

Second show: 12-03-1943 Candy For Caroline. Guest, chester Morris. The setting, a cheap hotel and three gangsters are looking for a new location for their counterfeiting racket. As it turns out, the Mystic Knights of the Sea Lodge has a room to rent, complete with an old printing press. Of course, Kingfish doesn’t realize what they want it for.

Meanwhile, Amos talks to Andy about his latest love interest, Caroline. Andy wants the new tenants to print a card to go on a box of candy, but they put him off. What’s a guy to do? Andy tries to print his own card, then in the process gets his box of candy mixed up with a box of bogus bills.

Imagine Caroline’s surprise when she opens the box. Caroline’s mama is sure impressed. Somehow though, I don’t think the gangsters will be quite so impressed by the box of candy they find. Big mix ups ensue, so listen in and enjoy the tangled comic mess.
