As the Thanksgiving holiday draws near, Casey and Annie meet an old friend on the street, a man who was a top notch safe cracker. Later, in the Blue Note, Bif is back to share some worries with Casey. What’s bothering Biff? Is the pressure to rejoin his former life of crime getting to be too much? Can Casey do anything to help deal with the gangsters who are making the threats towards Biff? It’ll be dangerous for him, but Biff agrees to let himself get drawn deeper into the gang, for the sake of getting more information to use against them.

In the Blue Note, Casey tells Ann and Ethylbert all about the case thus far. Will Ann get her Thanksgiving date with Casey, or will there be a phone call to interupt the evening?

Biff comes through with the goods that Casey needs. Now it’s up to Casey to set a trap, but it won’t be without danger. Might Annie and Casey set an ambush and win the story of the year? Or have they bitten off more than they can chew?

Safely back in the Blue Note, Ann has had a better day than she had hoped, and Casey tells Ethylbert why his plan worked so well to catch the crooks.
