Jack Benny – Jacks Movie. 370620

Jack Benny, Mary Livingstone and Don Wilson posing for a photo in 1938.

It’s Fathers Day, and the cast lets Jack know that he is a father figure to them. Mary, Kenny, and Phil all joke about fathers.

Jack gets a phone call and has to rush off to the studio. After Mary reads her poem. Kenny sings, Never in a Million Years.

Eddy Anderson makes his first appearance as Rochester as he helps Jack in the studio. The cast join up with him, and they joke around about his film. Phil plays. Even Andy Divine visits Jack to watch him filming his scene. His big moment is being in a barrel. Which was a real scene from Artists and Models, although I’m sure it didn’t quite transpire as related in today’s show. Maybe.
