Sailing off the shores of Borneo, the crew of the Scarlet Queen along with shipmaster Philip Carney are about to have a run in with trouble.
Philip pulls into port to look for a man named Channing, only to learn he has just been killed. Leaving his first mate, Red Gallagher in charge of the Scarlet Queen, Philip follows his guide to the office of Kang and Sons to get the story. A chilling story of murder and abduction by headhunters emerges. The question that plagues Philip Carney is why would the headhunters venture this far out of their usual territory?
Back on the Scarlet Queen, a visitor awaits Carney, and is interested in the heavy sword in his possession, and the apparent murder weapon. An adventure is proposed, but before things can begin another murder is performed by the mysterious sword. Follow Carney as he provides picturesque voiceover description as he confronts the would be, fat adventurerer. Superstitions, intrigue, and mystery abound as the sword is presented to the fat man. The sword is claimed to be fake, but the fist fights , violence, and murders that ensue are real enough. What drives men to desperate measures to get the sacred sword? Precious gems, jewels, gold, and more.
Carney llearns that the real sword has been hidden on his ship, so he pushes off for the relative safety of the open sea. While the port authorities try to investigate, and keep the local tribesmen at ease, the rash of murder still hangs over the Scarlet Queen, and the fat man shows himself abord the Scarlet Queen. Carney never had an interest in the sword, and just wants the sword and the fat man off his ship.
Will he get away with the sword and murder? Just because the sword is off the Scarlet Queen, will it end the cvycle of death? Will justice be served? Well, of course it will, but you’ll just need to listen in and rie the adventure to the end to learn how.
