Three kings kneeling, with stars in the background.

It’s the week before Christmas and all through the town, people drop happy hints at what they’re giving to one another. All except for the thing being exchanged between Mr Colby and Mel. Will Mel take Betty’s hints at what she wants for Christmas? Her hints at perfume just got upgraded to a calfskin bag, but can Mel exchange the perfume? Maybe if he disguises himself so the salesgirl won’t recognize him? Betty keeps changing her mind, sending Mel back to exchange the gift yet again.

Accompanied by Victor Miller, the Sportsmen sing, Managua Nicaragua. Babaloo! Unknown to Mel, Mr Colby and Willie Murdock are watching him, and think he’s been shoplifting. Is the salesgirl getting wise to him, despite his disguises?

Mr Cushing, the Mighty Potentate of the Zebra lodge, stops to talk to Mel about his nagging wife, and what he’d rather have hanging in the house besides the mistletoe. Mel has reached the limits of his phoney disguises, and has to come clean to Colby and the store management about what he has really been up to. Will Betty finally make up her mind?
