Halls Of Ivy – Dr Halls Reappointment. Pilot. 490622.

Ivy is a typical small college that might be located any where in America. Today the board of regents meets to debate whether Dr Hall should be reappointed as president. He is dignified and worthy, but concern is held over Mrs Hall. Is she too liberal minded for the college?

As the board goes on, the scene changes to the residence of the Halls, who are nervously awaiting the decision. The Halls share casual conversation. Mr Hall is capable enough, and we see a little of the popularity that Mrs Hall has among students. Especially when she tutors one in the art of dancing. Both are passionate in their own ways to the school, and the students.

Flashback mode kicks in, and we learn how the Halls met. He was on sabatical to England, and fell in love with an actress on the stage. After the introduction to the background of the Halls, and discovering how college presidents feel about their stodgy fellow faculty leaders, the tension and frustrations of the wait are over.

Note: This is the pilot that ran early in the year, and though the parts would go to Ronald and Bonita Coleman, the actors today are played by others.
