Lum and Abner – Relatives Camp out. 430526

Though Lum is desperate to find a loophole to get out of having to be the prize for the war bond contest, the families of the Abernathy’s and Simpsons have come town to make sure the election is fair. Lum begins to feel the close scrutiny is more like buying a horse, rather than winning a husband. Abner thinks Lum’s mind is slipping under the stress of the contest. Should they call on Doc Miller?

Lum blows off steam, and wants to tell both families off, and to just go home. And he’s going to send Abner out to tell them. Even uncle Henry Lunsford, the town constable is having trouble dealing with the stubborn, and unruly relatives.

The annoying relatives stand outside, and pound on the wall of the store. It’s enough to make Lum go tell them of if they do that one more time… er… make that two… no, make that three, or four more times. What will it take to just give those relatives a piece of his mind? ? How about throwing a horse shoe through the window?
