The circus is still showing in Mt Ida, and money is still coming up missing. Lum and Abner are to stand guard over the cash, but when Lum opens his hiding place, the money is gone. Who would have a key to both the wagon, and the locked trunk?
This is serious business. making sales isn’t going to help if the money disappears as fast as it comes in. Abner gets confused over Lum’s idea of setting a trap for the crook.
The two argue over who the thief might me, and Squire is painted to be the main suspect. What is needed is a level head, good thing Dick Huttleston visits. Will Squire still be in the spotlight for the thefts?
As it turns out, Squire ends up with a good alibi. Who else could it be? The options are narrowing down,
