Title: Conclusion of a Treasure Hunt.

Across the globe, Paul Barber and his companion Nicolette recover from a hotel dynamite blast while pursuing Patricia Baldwin, a Red Cross nurse fleeing for her life from dangerous world powers. As Nicolette catches Paul up on events during his unconsciousness, they discuss a tense new international dynamic known as the “Cold War” and why their captor is so determined to find Patricia alive.

Meanwhile, back at the Barber ranch, Henry’s patience is tested by the endearingly eccentric Cousin Jeddiah X Barber, who struggles to make sense of old family photographs and marvels at California’s mild weather. As Margret arrives—soon to be known to Jeddiah as Claudia Margret—Jeddiah acts as doorman to welcome the real Claudia.

Elsewhere, Hazel calls her parents to invite them to dinner and discusses the treasure chest her husband Dan dug up. Dan recounts how a secret message in a deck of cards led him on a wild goose chase to a Chinese cemetery. While the box doesn’t contain the rumored three million dollars, its contents of narcotics must be handed over to the police to avoid legal trouble.
