Elliot plays a man pretending to be in love with Katie. Despite his expressions of love, we soon learn that he isn’t satisfied in his relationship. Elliot is a man named Jim, Cathy is a waitress named Stella, and a romance is soon sparked. The flirtation, and fling seems like a refreshing change from the flat relationship found in the 8-year marriage.
Is Jim making the right decision? What makes him think his wife doesn’t want some of that same kind of excitement in her life as well?
Does Stella know that Jim’s affections are more than just flirting? Jim faces rejection from his fling, but will he rekindle his romance with his wife? It would definitely be better to reinvest in a marriage that your already committed to than to trash it. Your spouse becomes in part what you make of them. You have to ask what did I do to make them be this way, and take action. Good marriages are the result of attention, not neglect.
