Mr. Keen and Mike Clancey have been investigating the death of Donald Traviss. Mr. Keen has his eye on two suspects, the gardener, and a jilted lover. But might there be some doubts?
As Mr. Keen and Mike Clancey are snooping around the house, they explore a noise behind a closed door. It’s just Mrs. Traviss, the young wife of the murdered man. By now Mr. Keen has learned enough to figure out the mystery. As he talks with Mrs. Traviss, he recaps the facts, and is going to reveal his findings when he gathers everyone together.
Is it one of the mentioned suspects? Could it be one of the eccentric aunts? Is there someone else? Despite the lies, deception, and smoke being blown around, Mr. Keen puts the finger on the killer, and explains the drama and mystery as he tells who and why they did it.
