as George and Gracie enjoy breakfast, they watch their neighbor. George gets onto Gracie about her excessive snooping. She complains that George isn’t as romantic to her, as the neighbor husbands are to their wives. Gracie figures it’s too bad that George doesn’t leave for the office like all the other men do. Would having a big swanky office make Herman the duck proud of George? Bill Goodwin arrives to learn about George’s new office. Bill gives him advice for secretary, as well as using the sponsor’s product.

Downtown in the office building, George holds out for a tiny cubbyhole of an office. Gracie has other ideas as she talks to the building manager. Once the 99-year lease is signed, Gracie gets busy on outfitting the office suite. The cavernous office maybe too much for George, but Gracie looking forward to giving her husband kisses when he comes home. Secretaries arrived to be interviewed, and Gracie does the job. Will the prospective employees meet her high standards?

Since Gracie is now working for George, they decide to call each other by professional names. George is afraid his friends will laugh at him. Will soon find out when Bill Goodwin comes for a visit. Can Bill get him out of his lease? First, he needs to deliver the commercial. Will it be what it takes to suggest the landlord break the lease? Meanwhile, Gracie has gone out to scout up a client for George. What is the man willing to buy? What does George have to sell? Next, a woman mistakes George is a divorce lawyer. He mistakes her as someone who’s trying to come onto him and run away to Las Vegas. Gracie keeps the clients coming. Gracie tries her hand at breaking the lease, and gets Georgia deal, sort of.
