first, a classic moment from a vintage Amos and Andy episode from the late 1920s.

The announcer, Bill Haig reports technical difficulties, and an organ interlude is presented instead.
When the show starts, Andy talks with Kingfish about a recent singing recital where Andy bombed in singing his part. Was it just a Cajun stage fright, or his nerves? Andy attempts to justify himself, and brags that he can do better if given another chance.

Kingfish reads the critical review about the performance in the newspaper. Is it a matter of reporting the truth, or slander?

Andy deals with his rejection by discussing the matter with his singing partner, Henry VanPorter.

Henry, Kingfish, and Andy talk about the talent show, and who might be to blame for the weaker points of the show, and the practicing that goes into producing a such a production. When Andy tries to practice is vocalizing, we discover the newspaper may have a valid point about him.

Amos enters to get in on the discussion about the show. Andy is determined to have a second chance, but as the gents have their fun teasing him, the show ins.
