as Gildy tries to relax on the sofa, Leroy enters with a problem. The latest family drama deals with being in a fight with Craig Bullard. Between piggy banks, Craig Bullard and Leroy they are encouraged to use a democratic process to include all of them in their outdoor playtime. Everything is all settled now, right? It doesn’t take long before Leroy enters in tears. Marjorie tries the pitch in with help, but rubs Leroy the wrong way. Can Gildersleeve’s encourage Leroy to play nicely?

Later, after dinner, Craig seems to be ready to forgive and forget that earlier infraction and wants to play with Leroy. Craig tells Leroy all about his birthday plans, but let’s Leroy know he is not invited.

Leroy and Gildersleeve’s watched out the window as party items arrive at the Bullard’s house. There are even ponies, an organ grinder and a monkey. Is there something Gildersleeve might do to cheer him up? What if Marjorie plays a board game with him? Gildy try to cheer him up by taking him to camp out in his shack in the backyard. Gildy manages to squeeze through the narrow opening, and the two sit in the close quarters. Before long, Mrs. Bullard arrives and wonders why he hasn’t responded to his invitation. As the kids enjoy playtime, the adults get together for some socializing. The compliments on how well the children are behaved are broken up when Craig and Leroy get into a fight.
