Lum and Abner – Finding A Place To Keep Hogs. 350509

A black-and-white photo of Lum and Abner. Lum is on the left and has wavy hair and a mustache. He's wearing a suit and tie, and looks amused or curious. Abner is on the right, has messy hair and a beard, with exaggerated, surprised expression. He's wearing glasses and a dark suit with a bow tie. The composition suggests a comedic setting.

Down in Pine Ridge, the chain letter craze has hit. Lum and Abner have a new take on it though; they plan to send a hog instead of money. The idea is to stimulate the farming economy. It seems the town takes to the idea, and has big plans to get rich quick on hogs.

Abner is still a little confused over how the letter works, so Lum explains it once again. If this thing works, where will they keep all those hogs.?

Other logistic problems begin to emerge. Lum decides to start another chain letter to send feed for the hogs.
