Previously Flash and Dale have become marooned on the planet Mongo, and after a narrow escape from Ming, they have been captured by the Shark men, and after more adventures now find themselves dangling over a cliff.
Flash rescues Princes Aura, just as a troop of soldiers arrive. The soldiers prepare Flash and another white prisoner for death by poison daggers. In the fight, the blindfolds are off, and Doctor Zarkoff and Flash all have a happy, peaceful reunion which includes the soldiers. Weird, but the troop is made of exiles and enemies of Ming.
They plan to raid Ming’s palace, and take the princess with them. A metal bur roughing machine gets them back into the palace, where they find Dale safe. Flash has been betrayed to Ming. As Flash and his cohort are about to be executed, a last second reprieve comes.
Instead, a terrible test is planned. Flash is to fight on a platform with an unknown terror below. Instead of fighting each other, Flash protects his opponent when he fights off the vicious Tigerman.
Meanwhile, Dale is once again being forced to marry Ming. Thinking Flash is dead, Dale sees no other option. But just then, Flash crashes the wedding. When the priest refuses to go on, Ming kills him. Ming banishes Flash to the land of the Hawkman, and Dale remains under his control.
