Jack is teased about giving the whole cast a lift to the military base and is Maxwell. He collects gas money for the trip from Don. Mary arrives to get in jokes about the girl crazy GIs. Mary pays her portion of the gas money complains about mishaps on the trip. Dennis arrives to settle up with his gas money and talk about the sporting mishap he had. When Phil arise will he take the hints about paying up his part of the gas money?

Dennis day sings: When You’re with Me.

Jack describes to Dennis what the job of a Bombardier is. Phil and Dennis make jokes through the description. It inspires Don to describe about Jell-O. Special delivery arrives for Mary. She reads the thank you letter from the soldier she was out with the other night. Jack’s introduction of their play is interrupted by a phone call from Rochester. He complains about Mr. Billingsley being a bombardier.

Phil Harris plays a medley of George Cohan hits: Give My Regards to Broadway, It was Mary, Grand Old Flag, Over There.

Jack does his Fred Allen impression as Don Wilson interviews him. It’s supposed to be a preview of what he might say about Jack on his program later in the week.
