Hold onto your hats, because here comes another adventure with Guy Madison as Wild Bill Hickock, and his pal Andy Devine as Jingles.
Red Rock lays in some of the most rugged terrain of the old West, and is plagued by bandits and road agents. As Wild Bill and Jingles ride in, they are ready to rustle up some good grub. Their old friend, Miss Bell, runs the restaurant and after a quick reunion whips up a feast for them. It doesn’t take long, and Bill has to deal with thieves who stole his and Jingles horses. Uh-oh,
time for a break, and a snack with that treat that everybody loves. And with the sweetening already on them too!
On the search for some fast replacement mounts, Bill learns about more troubles in Red Rock. Robbers have been running wild, stealing gold, and causing trouble with the miners. It’s enough to get Jingles temper up, but Bill has a cool head, and takes it easy in his interviewing folks around town. A plan is being formed.
There’s no rest for the wicked, which means no rest for poor old Jingles as he and Bill do what they can to stop the bandits. There’s a mystery here besides the stealing of the gold, and Bill is beginning to see the light. Bill finds himself in a good position to ambush the bad guys, but has to let them get away. Why did he do that for?
I’ll bet he tells why after another treat from that yummy snack that has folks saying, kids love pops, moms love pops, and pops love pops.
Sure enough the bad guys, and their schemes are revealed. But with the mystery solved, will that lady killer, Jingles get roped into staying in town with the lovely Miss Bell?
