Gildersleeve enters Peavy’s drugstore, and the two talk about having no time to watch television. Although, Peavy has one in his store, and turns it on. Frustrated with the new technology, Gildersleeve goes home, content that his family hasn’t gone crazy over the device. Little does he know, when he gets home the family is all abuzz about where to put their new TV set when Gildersleeve buys one. Will the excitement from the family convince Gildersleeve’s to cave in?

Developing a devious plan, Leroy
lures his uncle to the appliance store. Leroy does his best to plant the idea that Gildersleeve needs a TV set. Will the exercise in reverse psychology work? Will Gildersleeve is get caught in Leroy strap?

With the big fish off the line, Leroy has to devise another plan to get his uncle back in the appliance store. Leroy wants to make his uncle worry, so he takes a walk. Along the way, he meets Judge Hooker who gives him some pointers. Back home, Leroy makes his uncle believe he’s hanging out with shady characters. Will it be worth getting special entertainment to keep Leroy home? A hot tip on the telephone sins Gildersleeve’s to Peavy’s drugstore. Gildy soon becomes glued to the TV, watching a wrestling match. Gildy seems to have found out Leroy’s devious scheme, but will it stop him from going to the store to buy his own TV set?
