Fresh surprises await our heroes as Clark Kent speaks with. White about the scientist Sidney Rycroft actually being a woman. Clark tells how he and Jimmy went to see the great Gambini on stage. Perry is skeptical since he claims the great Gambini died several years ago.
Clark takes a cab back to the theater, bent on determining whether the man, or the woman is the real Sidney Rycroft. Why should anyone go to all that trouble to disguise her identity? Tumbleweed joints Clark Kent, but will they learn anything new when they meet Miss Ryecroft? After a 30-minute delay, they decide to take the elevator upstairs to meet her. When they arrive, they find her door open, her room turned upside down, and the girl missing. Mysterious Egyptians are involved. Clark sends Tumbleweed on a mission back to the office, so he can take on the job as Superman. What will he find once he arrived at his destination? Will the girl be in danger? What mysteries will he be able to resolve?

As Clark seeks for the female explorer, she is being held captive by a band of Egyptians who ask her about the Black Pearl. They are about to torture the information from her when Tumbleweed and Clark break in and rescue her. They get away, but Tumbleweed is shot in the leg.

As Tumbleweed is recovering in the hospital, the Egyptians take an interest in him. He is kidnapped from the hospital. When he believes that he will die at the hands of a mystery person or gang, the rough and tumble cowboy takes matters into his own hands and causes the driver of the car to go over the bridge.
Superman has been flying overhead and trailing the car in the snow, but will he get to Tumbleweed in time?
