this undated episode is a rebroadcast of the hour of power.

For some this time of year is a time of joy, for others it’s something else. An old taxi driver praise old prayers as he waits for his next fair to flag him down. The old driver grumbles over the endless stream of drunken partygoers, drivers and pedestrians who he has to dodge in traffic. The young out-of-town traveler offers a bit of advice to help calm the temper of the grumpy old driver. The old gent then shares a bit of his marital troubles.

Dropping off the young man, and picking up his next fare, it’s the girl who was his passengers blind date. She doesn’t seem as eager for the date, but will the two hit it off? She tries to ditch her date, but the hands of fate seem to be against her. The young couple leave to enjoy their New Year’s Eve party, while the driver picks up another fair.

The weeping young lady needs to catch the train. Can the cabbie helper? Who would throw such a pretty girl out on the streets? Since she forgot her purse, the cabbie has to take her right back to where she started from. While he waits, his original fair returns. It seems his date ditched him. Ann returns with her purse, and she soon finds herself sharing a ride with Henry. Since they’ve all become friends, the cabbie invites them to a party of his own.
