There seems to be an epidemic of disappearing people in Pine Ridge. First Lizabeth, then a visiting woman who left her baby with the gents. Now the baby has gone missing. Is the mysterious Black Pelican, who wrote some threatening notes, behind the matter?
Lum and Abner still bicker over what the baby’s name should be. A phone call from Cedric reports that he may be on the trail of the Black Pelican. Is it time to call the police in on the rash of disappearances? Abner thinks so, but Lum seems nervous over bringing in the law.
Abner is worked up into a frenzy of worry. until Lum shares a secret. Does he know who the Black Pelican is? Lum comes clean to reveal his secret identity. Why did he do it? Abner has his own secret to share, and we learn that the baby is safe.
