Lum and Abner – Ulysses S Quincys Suggestion. 420413

Lum, Abner and their real-life wives are sitting together on a bench outdoors, near a pool. They appear relaxed and are smiling at each other. The two people on the left are wearing casual attire, while the two on the right are dressed more formally, with the person on the far right in a light-colored suit and bow tie. Trees are visible in the background under a clear sky, suggesting a pleasant day.

With the business of the movie premiere over with, it’s time to get down to the topic of what to do with the money that was left for Lum and Abner to spend on the good of the community. The two old gents review some of the troubles they’ve been facing in sharing the funds in an unselfish way.

Is there a new business that could be put in town? What about a new orphanage? Coming up with an idea on their own, Lum decides to give the groceries to a needy family. The trouble is that Ulysses S Quincy thinks that because he won the groceries, that his idea of building a toll bridge in town will begin to take shape.

Meanwhile, Squire Skimp has been suspicious that the question that Lum and Abner has been posing about the contest means that the money really does exist, and he comes sniffing around to get his hand into it.
